Kinara is a Park Slope gem whose menu consists of authentic Indian cuisine at an affordable price. Their master chefs prepare dishes that are emanating flavor and full of spice. They cook with only the freshest ingredients and the friendly atmosphere of the restaurant always keeps customers coming back for more. Whether you’re in the mood for vegetarian or meat dishes, Kinara will definitely satisfy your Indian food cravings.
Kinara use to be great a few years ago, even if they were always difficult to deal with. When I would go in to eat at the restaurant they were never nice, but the food was good. Now the service and food has gotten much worse lately and even though I would saw I was a loyal customer I'm now done with Kinara. After 3 phone calls tonight to the manager and a mix up with the seamless order delivery they kept being difficult. I could even eat the mixed up delivery as I'm a vegetarian. Even the seamless lady said they were difficult to deal with. Choose another Indian restaurant for your dinner. Ps. I neverrr leave bad reviews!

This is my go-to Indian spot. Love the Chana Saag and Tikka Masala. Samosas can be greasy, but the filing is tasty. Always delivered within the estimated arrival time.

Always great service when dining in, ordering out and ordering through Seamless.

Added a note asking for extra spicy to my order but somehow received a dish that was extra mild, with no spice whatsoever. Also, the lamb was way overcooked and very chewy. Won't order from there again.

The food is pretty good, though never spicy enough. They are almost laughably stingy with the condiments, however: last night I ordered two appetizer/entree specials and received no mango chutney (had requested 2), one tamarind, and half a container of mint chutney. The condiments are basically my favorite part of Indian food, so I doubt I'll order from there again.

Below average food, but not inedible. The samosas left a pool of oil at the bottom of the delivery container. The mains were only so so. I'll continue onward to find a delivery indian restaurant that I can be loyal to.

It was okay food. Not as spicy as I would have liked, nor as flavorful. The ka-chori was a bit ... weird. Not bad, just different than I'm used to. Delivery was prompt.

really, a 3.4 star place. I'd have given it 4 stars, but it's too highly rated already. Chicken Jalfrazi was sort of like Aloo Gobi with chicken and additional spices- by far the best dish on our order. Aloo Matar Gobi was, strangely, was sort of bland though visually almost identical. Lamb Saagwala is the kind where they thicken it with a ton of cornstarch. It would have been much better without the thickener. Samosas were the bottom level of acceptable. Vegetable curry bore a striking resemblance to store-bought, precut and frozen vegetables from a bag tossed in curry. Not bad, but not good either. Still, not terrible. My wife and I have a strange need for Aloo Matar Gobi, not just Aloo Gobi. It's all about the peas, yo. I'm going to order from a few more places before I try this one again, though. Acceptable.

The food is delivery indian -- fine, but nothing special. however, i'm flabbergasted that it won't let me tip anything under 16% of my entire order! i'm sorry, but i'm not going to tip $8 on a small delivery order to come a couple of blocks.

We were charged for three extra naan and they delivered one. Then they tried to claim that we only ordered one. Their food is superb, but their service is atrocious bordering on fraudulent. Their basic reaction to customer complaints is to try to intimidate the customer into no longer complaining.

Love this place, seems pricey but every meal is HUGE.

This is the best Indian food in the Slope bar none. They are very fast delivery and authentic. The 1 issue I have is they raised their default tip to an outrageous percentage on seamless. I will only order by phone from now on.

The best Indian in the neighborhood that I've found so far. The naan has a lovely texture and flavor that beats most other places, as well as flavorful dipping sauces that I crave long after I've finished my meal. The heat, when ordering a dish extra spicy, actually does pack a punch, which I really appreciate. The food tastes fresh and both the lamb and chicken dishes I've had were really tender and juicy. The Takeout Special is a go-to option in our household quite frequently and we've never been disappointed.

This may be the best Indian food I've had in NYC. Though it wasn't hot upon arrival (what delivery can be, really?), the samosas were perfectly done, not overly crispy or greasy, with a delicious slightly spicy filling of perfect consistency; and the chicken vindaloo - at medium spicy - was as flavorful as any I have had, with a strong spicy-ness to boot. I almost never rate anything, but this place deserves it.

I'd give them 0 stars if I could. I called them after waiting 90 minutes for my order, they said it would be here in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later I called, and they told me they never got the order (same guy.) So, after 2 hours I have no food, and none on the way. When I asked him to call Seamless web to make sure my CC wasn't charged he told me to do it myself, it wasn't his job. Won't be ordering from them again...ever.

our standby indian place. we've never eaten in but take out is fast. saag panir and panir burgee are awesome.

Kinara is my favorite Indian take-out in Park Slope. They have a really great deal where you get an entree, appetizer, rice, naan, and a few little sides all for $12.95. I usually get samosas (amazing!) and saag panir. This is comfort Indian food at its best. Usually I eat too much of it -- but if you are hungry this is a good deal. Take out has usually been reliable and fast.

Food is excellent. One annoying thing - they have a place to say which condiments you want, but they send a standard set of condiments no matter which ones you order. And they're not the ones I like.

The food is very good -- the best Indian I've found in Park Slope -- but pricey. Their dishes are fresher and less oily than your usual Americanized Indian food, but just as tasty. The spinach in the saag dishes is finely chopped instead of pureed, which is excellent; the tikka masala is not as overwhelming creamy as most places (and the better for it), and less common dishes like the crab curry are excellently flavored. Plus, they'll actually make it spicy -- I love intense heat, but even I usually order the vindaloos medium instead of spicy. That said, the care and quality shows up in the bill.

There aren't many options for Indian in the neighborhood, which is a shame. This place is okay, kind of bland, not too expensive, and will satisfy your craving -- but not much more. Still, delivery is fast and food is consistent, so until a better option pops up I'll continue ordering from Kinara.

I wanted to like Kinara because they were cheaper than Baluchis, but it just wasn't very good. I noticed a lot of people gave Kinara decent reviews and I am convinced they must just not know good indian food. The food was sub par and they messed up on the order. If a restaurant doesn't have an item, they should call you to see what you would want instead. Kinara just sent other items without calling. When I called them they admitted to not calling and said that they were out of the items and sent things that were "better anyway". I found that odd. I would definitely shell out a few more bucks and just get Baluchis!

The takeout special is the way to go. Price is good for the quantity and variety. I recommend the daal and the lamb dishes.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Park Slope, although I've only tried a few. Cheaper & tastier than Baluchi's in my opinion. I like how they add cilantro to the saag paneer, it gives it a fresh flavor! Delivery is fast too.

The Chicken Tikka Massala is very watery, and the samosas are weird.

The food was ok, a little bland. What stood out -- and not in a good way -- was the customer service. I ordered a dish without yogurt, it arrived with yogurt. I called to resolve the situation and was told the kitchen was too busy to read instructions, that they would get it right next time but no replacement would be sent. SeamlessWeb intervened quickly and deducted the partial charge.

Really good (cheap) Indian food. We love the Chicken Tikka Masala (which comes with rice). We ordered the Pakoras (Fried Veggies) and they were not so good. Otherwise everything else is fab.

Decent (but salty) food and inexpensive. Horrible dine-in experiences with rude staff. Go ahead and order from them but don't bother actually going to the restaurant and sitting down.

bad delivery overcooked food incomplete order... nothing good here. Don't make the mistake of trying this place when you know another one you like.

The chicken makhani is out of this world! The Aloo Gobi came in a tomato-y sauce I'm not used to and was incredibly spicy (I ordered medium spice) but in a tasty way.
